Mussorgsky, Modest

Modest Mussorgsky (1839-1881), Russian composer, studied piano from his mother, entered Cadet School of Guard in St. Petersburg, received music lesson from Balakirev, one of the Mighty Five. He composed operas(Boris Godunov, Mlada etc), orchestral music, piano pieces, and songs.
